It is still possible to apply for a Reception place at Sywell for September 2021 and we have a few places available in some other year groups. If your child does not yet have a place, or you wish to change, please contact the school office.

If you have applied and been refused a place at Sywell School (in any year group), you are entitled to appeal against that decision.

The pack includes some explanatory notes about the process of Admission Appeals and a Notice of Appeal form that, should you decide to proceed with an appeal, will need to be completed and returned by email if possible, but if not, to the Diocesan Office instead.
Consultation on Admission Arrangements for September 2023-24
All admission authorities are required to formally consult if they propose to make any changes to their admission arrangements for the following school year. We are currently consulting on our admission arrangements which will apply from September 2023 and are proposing the following changes:
• Removal of priority for clause for children of worshipping members of the Mears Ashby, Hardwick, Sywell and Overstone benefice. The policy therefore now simply prioritises the children of worshipping members of any of any Church that is a member of Churches Together in England (this includes the Church of England), or the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, or any other church or ecclesial community of other Christian denominations in membership of any local Churches Together Group, by whatever title.
