Miss Doy, Mrs Sansome-James, Miss Coote and Mrs Duffill welcome you to Early Years. Our Early Year Foundation Stage class continues the delivery of the curriculum children access through their pre-school education. We have a strong ethos for developing children’s learning through play, and deliver our teaching using a combination of teacher led and child led activities. Our provision includes a wide variety of exciting resources and experiences that encourage children’s natural curiosity and thirst for learning. An emphasis is placed on outdoor learning and children have continuous access to outdoor space in a beautiful, natural environment. At Sywell CE Primary School, the class structuring means that we have a maximum of 15 pupils in our Reception class. This enables us to tailor our planning and curriculum delivery to each individual child, meaning they have a very personalised start to their school life, with lots of individual and small group teaching.  We believe this gives firm foundations for the rest of their Primary education. We pride ourselves on the positive relationships we develop with children and their families and understand the importance of working together in order to ensure your child reaches their full potential.
